Jr is an AI assistant that runs entirely on a personal computer. It teaches
people with little computer experience how to find and do paid online work,
step by step and out loud, so they have an alternative to hard manual labor.
This link talks to the real Jr running on the founder's computer, not a
recording. Jr runs without the cloud, so a reply usually takes 15 to 30
seconds. The chat is available while the founder's computer is on; if it
doesn't load, please try again later.
The product: how Jr helps someone start earning
JrOS is a desktop program for Windows. Jr, its built-in assistant, talks
the user through each step out loud and in plain words, in English or Spanish.
Set up a private profile. Language, skills, and the
details job sites ask for, so Jr can help fill in sign-up forms.
Practice on 40 training jobs. Real kinds of online work
with sample files: spreadsheets and CSV files, PDFs and documents, images,
file organizing, saved web pages, and small websites and apps. Each job goes
through the same five steps: choose the job, write the proposal, build the
solution, run a safety test, and deliver.
Open accounts on real job sites. Step-by-step guides for
26 sites such as Upwork and Fiverr. The user signs up on each site's own
page. Jr never asks for or keeps passwords.
Do real jobs. The user pastes a real job post into
My Real Jobs. Jr matches it to the user's practiced skills, drafts a
proposal for the user to review and send, does the work with tested scripts
on copies of the client's files (never the originals), and packages the
finished delivery.
Get paid directly. The client pays the user through the
job site or the user's own PayPal. Jr keeps an earnings log and sets money
aside for taxes.
Also included: Ask Jr (a chat with Jr's voice), a
Builder that makes small business websites and simple web
apps, a resume writer, and short lessons for people new to computers.
Business model: a monthly subscription for users
(planned; not charging anyone yet).

About the founder
Robert (legal name Roberto R. Flores) is a 54-year-old Mexican-American
entrepreneur in Phoenix, Arizona. He taught himself to build software and has
designed and built JrOS himself, rebuilding it six or seven times across three
computers as he learned.
His motivation comes from supporting his children, working through personal
health challenges, and wanting people in jobs like construction work in
Arizona's extreme heat to have a real way to earn money online instead. He is
Jr's first user: he is using Jr himself to start earning, and to fund the
hardware Jr needs to grow.
What exists today, and what doesn't yet
Working today
A full desktop environment of about 60 built-in modules, running on one personal computer.
A local AI model (Llama 3.2) with a spoken voice. Nothing a user types is sent to an outside AI company.
40 practice jobs, each with sample data and a tested solution script.
My Real Jobs: paste a real job post, get a skill match, a proposal draft to review, a delivery package, and a payment record.
Builder: small business websites (checked by a 12-point site checker) and simple web apps that come with their own tests.
Account Setup guides for 26 job sites, with each user's own sign-up details ready to copy.
Placement challenges that check real skills against objective pass/fail tests, not self-reported ones.
An earnings log that sets aside money for taxes, plus a guide to getting paid through the user's own PayPal account.
Separate, password-protected profiles for each person who uses the computer.
English and Spanish, with matching voices.
Not built yet
A JrOS job marketplace (paid jobs listed inside JrOS itself) is switched off on purpose until hosting and provider checks are complete. Today, real jobs come from outside job sites, on the user's own accounts.
Using JrOS from a web browser, without installing it: an early test works, but it is not open to users yet.
The "JrOS Kits" hardware in our grant proposal does not exist yet. Grant funding is for building and testing them.
Jr runs on a single computer today, with no cloud servers.
No outside users have been onboarded yet, and no one is being charged. The founder is the only user so far.
How money works
Jr never holds, moves, or receives a user's money. Clients pay users
directly through the user's own accounts, such as their own PayPal. Jr
only teaches users how to set this up and helps them keep records and set
money aside for taxes. Jr never collects passwords for job sites. Instead,
it opens each platform's official sign-up page and walks the user through it.
